James O’Connor is an Executive Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager of the Taxable Fixed Income Group for Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies, a division of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. He is a member of the team responsible for portfolio management of the taxable money market funds. He is also the lead portfolio manager for the U.S. dollar portfolios of the BNY Mellon Liquidity Funds, which are offered only to non-U.S. institutional investors. James has served as a member of the Dreyfus Capital Commitments and Risk Management Committees. His previous positions include management, trading and sales positions at Aubrey G. Lanston and Co., Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (“CIBC”) and Manufacturers Hanover Trust. He holds a B.S. degree in finance from Providence College.
